Meet Chichi Chimp

This is Chichi. She is a chimp made of wool. Chichi is showing off her glamorous outfit and striking a pose.

This is Chichi posing again after she received her new shoes. She loves her shoes :)

Chichi has a brother. His name is Chacha. Chichi is patiently waiting for him to arrive.

This was Chichi yesterday, before she received her down-like stuffing.

And this was Chichi just after her fabric was cut and sewn to create her plump little body and outfit.

Cole and Chad love how I created Chichi from a few pieces of fabric we picked up from the quilt shop. They are now getting ready to create some stuffies of their own, shhhhhhh! It's a secret, I can't tell you any more details. So come back soon to find out what they created okay?

*LOVED making this little chimp! I am thinking that I will be making plenty more with the hopes of catching the eyes of little girls & boys who would love to adopt one.*

The reluctance to put away childish things may be a requirement of genius.

Not A Paper Bag! ~ Eco-Brownsies~

I am a huge fan of the 'I'm not a Plastic Bag' line (plastic is so 1990). And being aware of the health issues relating to plastic we use fabric reusable grocery bags, wrap left overs in wax paper, use glass to store leftovers, and brown paper lunch bags for the boys to store snacks in while out hiking or traveling, etc. I am happy with all of my eco-friendly decisions, except for one. The brown paper bag. What a waste!

1. Spend money on paper bags.
2. Stuff paper bag with wrapped food and/or fruit.
3. Eat contents paper bag.
4. Place wrinkled paper bag in recycling bin.
5. Spend more money on more paper bags.

DUH!

So I will now introduce: 'Eco-Brownsies'! (Yes, hand made by me). Fabric lunch/snack bags. Reusable. Washable. Fashionable. (Can be used for gift bags too!)

I don't know why I didn't think of using some of my creative abilities through out this long and extremely cold winter?!

Comments are so welcome!
